The dormitory „Stiftung Marienheim Stuttgart“ – Since 1887

Since 1887, Stiftung Marienheim has been providing women aged 18 and over with a home in the heart of Stuttgart. Our residence offers 108 rooms, primarily for trainees, students and women undertaking vocational or professional training. We combine affordable accommodation in a central location with a safe and welcoming community environment.

Women from a wide range of backgrounds, nationalities and life situations have been living together at Marienheim for many years. Marienheim is also closely connected with social and church organisations in Stuttgart and works particularly closely with Caritas. The Caritas Migration and Integration department has its own premises within Marienheim.

Our listed three-part building complex, dating from 1898, was extensively renovated and technically modernised in 1996/1997. The historic character of the building has been preserved to this day.

Located on the southern edge of Stuttgart city centre, Marienheim is within easy walking distance of Wilhelmsplatz, the Bohnenviertel district, public transport and the city centre.

In addition to their private rooms, residents have access to a number of communal areas. These include shared kitchens on each floor, a small chapel which can also be used for making music or as a quiet place for reflection, as well as a recreation room. The residence also offers Wi-Fi, a bicycle storage room and a laundry room with a separate drying room.

It is important to us that Marienheim is more than just a place to live: it should also be a place for meeting others, building community and living together in a positive and respectful way.
